Is there a free plan?
No. Instead of a limited free tier, the 14-day free trial gives you the whole product, with real research runs and real drafts.
Are any features or models locked to bigger plans?
No. Every plan includes the whole product and every AI model. Plans differ in exactly three numbers: the price, the research credits and the AI usage allowance. See Plans and pricing.
Is content really unlimited?
Yes. Content, projects, briefs and versions are not counted. The AI work inside your content draws on your AI usage allowance, or on your own API keys, but the content itself is unlimited.
Do unused research credits roll over?
No. Credits reset with each billing cycle. See Research credits and AI usage.
Can I be charged more than my plan price?
No. When your AI usage allowance runs out, AI pauses until the cycle resets. Nothing is billed past your plan price. If you connect your own API keys, the provider bills you directly for what runs on them. See When you hit your limit.
Why do two usage screens show different totals?
They cover different periods. Your AI usage allowance, shown on the Usage page and in the editor, follows your billing cycle. The totals on the Usage tab of the LLM API Keys page cover the calendar month, starting on the 1st. If your cycle starts on the 14th, the two will not match, and neither is wrong. For your allowance, go by the Usage page.
What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard and American Express, billed monthly in US dollars through Stripe. There is no annual plan. See Billing and invoices.
Do you offer discounts?
Promo codes can be entered when you start your trial. Codes from members of the Champions Program give 25% off the first 3 months.
Can I switch plans mid-cycle?
Yes. Upgrades apply immediately, with the price difference prorated. Downgrades take effect when the current billing cycle ends. See Managing your subscription.
What happens if I cancel?
Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and you can reactivate before then. After that there are no further charges and no refund for the unused part. Your account becomes read-only: you can still sign in, read and export everything, and your content is kept for 90 days, so subscribing again in that time brings it all back. Canceling during the free trial ends it right away, with nothing charged. See Managing your subscription.
Do I need my own API keys?
No. Every model runs on WordCrafter's keys, within your AI usage allowance. Your own keys are optional: connect one when you want requests to a provider billed to you and kept off your allowance. See Bring your own API keys.
