You manage your plan in your account, under Plan. It shows your current plan, how much of both allowances you have used this billing cycle, and a card for each plan with the action it offers.
All changes happen in the app. You do not need to email anyone.
Upgrade
Click Upgrade to Startup or Upgrade to Business on the plan's card and confirm.
It takes effect immediately. The bigger research credit count and AI usage allowance are available right away.
You pay the difference now. You are charged a prorated amount for the rest of the current billing cycle, and the new price applies from then on.
During the free trial, upgrading ends the trial straight away and starts your paid subscription on the new plan. See The free trial.
Downgrade
Click Downgrade to … on a smaller plan's card and confirm.
It takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. Until then, you keep your current plan and its allowances.
The plan's card shows the date the downgrade takes effect.
No refund is issued for the current cycle.
Cancel
Click Cancel Subscription on your current plan's card. A short question asks why you are leaving, then you confirm.
Nothing changes that minute. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have already paid for.
After that, it ends. There are no further charges, and no refund for the part of the cycle you did not use.
Your work stays. Your account becomes read-only, and your content is kept for 90 days. See After your subscription ends below.
Canceling during the free trial works differently: it ends the trial right away, and nothing is charged. Your account then becomes read-only in the same way.
After your subscription ends
This is the same whether you canceled or the subscription ended because a payment could not be taken (see Billing and invoices).
Your account becomes read-only. You can still sign in, open and read all your documents, research, briefs and projects, and export them: one document at a time, or all at once with Export everything in Settings. You cannot create or edit anything, run research or use the AI.
Subscribing again brings everything back. Pick a plan under Plan before your content is deleted and your work is there, exactly as you left it.
Your content is kept for 90 days after the subscription ends. We email you 7 days before it is deleted, and never delete it sooner than 7 days after that email.
After the 90 days, your content is deleted: documents, research, briefs, projects, your context library, uploads (images, audio and files), your Agent Studio settings (rules, modes, memories, business context and AI settings), saved API keys, and any posts from the earlier version of WordCrafter. Until then you can still export it.
Your login, profile and billing history stay. You can still sign in, see your invoices and subscribe again, starting with an empty workspace.
Reactivate
Changed your mind before the period ends? The plan's card offers Reactivate. Your subscription carries on as if you had never canceled.
After your subscription has ended, subscribe to a plan again from the same page. Within 90 days of the end, everything comes back as it was.
Canceling is not deleting your account
Canceling stops billing and keeps your work for 90 days. Deleting your account deletes your work and removes your login, and it does not wait for the 90 days: content, research, briefs, projects, your context library, uploads, Agent Studio settings and API keys all go. Any active plan is canceled at once, without a refund. To close your account, click Delete account… in your account settings: it opens an email to support with the request filled in. Once support deletes the account, it cannot be undone, so export anything you want to keep first: Export everything in Settings downloads your work as one zip, with images, audio and attachments included as links that work for at least two days. See Exporting your content. Support conversations linked to your account are deleted too. We keep your billing history and usage records, as the Privacy Policy sets out, and encrypted backups roll off within 30 days: see Security and your data. Short notifications that we post to our internal team chat about your account, bookings, billing, research activity and support conversations may remain there after deletion.
