Already have a live page for your keyword? A page audit maps it with the same instrument WordCrafter uses on the ranking pages, then shows you, section by section, what they have that yours does not.
Before you start
Audits work on commercial research: research where you picked a product page, service page or landing page as the format. See choosing a search intent and format. Long-form research has no audit.
The research has to be finished. Your page is compared against its anatomy map.
An audit spends no research credit and does not count against your AI usage allowance.
Run an audit
Open the research's Anatomy tab. Under the map, Audit your live page asks for a URL. Paste the full URL of your live page, starting with http:// or https://, and click Audit live page. You can also click the empty Your live page column in the map to open the same form.
While it runs, the card shows its progress and your website's address. WordCrafter reads your page, then labels its sections with the same AI pass it uses on the ranking pages.

Read the result
When the audit finishes, your page joins the map as the Your live page column, between Typical and Plan, and the card becomes Your live page vs the SERP.
Its headline counts how many consensus sections your page covers. A consensus section is a section type that at least half of the ranking pages carry, and never fewer than two of them.
Below the headline come the gaps: every missing section first, then every section running thin, each group in the order ranking pages usually place those sections.
Missing is a consensus section your page does not have. The row shows how many ranking pages carry it, their median length and where it usually sits.
Running thin is a consensus section your page has, but with less than half the SERP's median word count for it. A section whose median is under 80 words is never flagged, since short sections are meant to be short.
Click any gap to highlight that section across every column of the map.
When your page covers every consensus section and none of them is running thin, the card says there are no structural gaps against this SERP. When no section type is common enough on the ranking pages to count as consensus, it says there is no section consensus to compare against.
Re-audit after you change your page
Changed your live page? Click Re-audit to read it again. A new audit replaces the previous result. Refreshing the research also audits your page again, as part of the run.
If an audit fails, the card says why and keeps the URL form so you can try again. The usual reasons are a page that could not be fetched, a page with too little readable text (for example one behind a login or built entirely in JavaScript), or sections that could not be mapped.
Close the gaps in the editor
Import & optimize your live page brings your live page into WordCrafter, with this research attached. It opens the import preview, where you check the conversion and create the content.
The new content opens in the editor with a banner that repeats the audit verdict and links back with View the gap list & plan. Work through the gaps section by section. The research stays attached the whole time.
