Why does a setup dialog open when I open my draft?
You are on a product, service or landing page. WordCrafter will not write a page that sells until it knows what you sell, so the Agent and Targeted tabs wait until your business context has an overview, at least one offering with two or more features, and the draft has picked what it sells (one to three offerings, each with two or more features). The dialog walks you through whatever is missing and ends with Save and start writing. Close it and you can still write by hand; Add the missing context in the Agent or Targeted tab opens it again. See When a commercial page asks for your business context.
Why did the agent suggest changes instead of applying them?
The chip at the top of the Agent tab is set to Suggest. Click it to switch to Apply. If it keeps coming back to Suggest, check the default edit strategy under Agent Studio → Models & behavior, your project's own setting, and the mode you are using: a mode you created can be set to always suggest, and switching to any built-in mode puts the chip back on your default. See Suggestions and track changes.
Can I change the content type after creating it?
Partly. In More Options → Content type you can switch between long-form and news article, or between product, service and landing page. You cannot turn an article into a commercial page or the other way, because they are built differently. Create new content with the right type instead. See Supported content formats.
Can I attach research to content I started from scratch?
Yes. Open More Options → Attached research and pick a research. The same menu opens the attached research or detaches it.
I left the editor and the agent stopped. Why?
A run only continues while its editor is open, so leaving stops it. WordCrafter asks first with Leave and stop the run?, and Stay lets it finish. Edits already made stay in the draft, and you can pick the chat back up from Chat history in the Agent tab. See The AI agent.
How do I undo what the agent did?
Press Cmd/Ctrl + Z to undo the latest edit. To go back further, open Version history: a version is saved after every agent run, and you can restore the one before it. See Version history.
Does voice input count toward my AI usage?
No. Dictating text or instructions is always free. See Voice input and images.
Does web search count toward my AI usage?
It depends on the tab. Web searches the agent runs in the Agent tab do not count. Web search in the Targeted tab runs inside the AI model itself, so it counts as normal AI usage. See Research credits and AI usage.
Why does web search say Unavailable?
The selected model is a DeepSeek model, which does not support web search. Pick a different model in the Targeted tab to turn it on. On product, service and landing pages it shows Not on this page type instead, because those pages are written only from your business context.
My export does not include the AI's changes. Why?
Those changes are still pending suggestions. Every export format uses the text as it was before the suggestions. Accept them first, then export again. See Exporting your content.
Can I import a Word or PDF file?
Not as a file. Import & optimize takes a URL, Markdown or a paste. Copy the document's content and paste it: headings, lists and tables come through as blocks. To give a PDF to the AI as reference material instead, add it to the Context Library. See Import and optimize.
